It was a great day to be alive. A joyous day. Mr. Hunch couldn’t stop himself from smiling as his eyes gazed around the venue, admiring its elegance as his shaking hands grasped the palms of his beautiful bride. The bride smiled back, steadying her soon-to-be-husband’s nerves.
There was no need to fear. Today was their wedding day. All of their relatives were gathered, they loved each other, and everything looked perfect, what could possibly go wrong?
Mr. Hunch calmed himself, then turned to the priest, waiting to say “I Do”, when suddenly his brother stepped up to the altar to inform the couple their other guests had arrived.
“Other guests?” asked Mr. Hunch confused.
Before the brother could answer a cowboy suddenly entered the room, swinging out his pistols, shooting the air, galloping down the aisle, letting out a loud scream.
“YAHOO!”
Mr. Hunch and his bride were quite shocked and upset to see this unexpected guest. The cowboy continued to be loud and rowdy until he calmed down and looked at the couple with a serious face.
“Promise you will never discard me alright? Fun times don’t end just because you’re husband and wife.”
With that said, the cowboy sat down on a pew and another guest came through the door, dressed up in NASA’s best space gear, seeking a universe to explore.
Before Mr. Hunch could recover from the first guest’s arrival, the astronaut stopped in front of the couple and spoke to them too.
“ May fate look down on you and honor an everlasting bond. Take this relationship forward, exploring wonders to infinity and beyond.”
Stunned beyond words, Mr. Hunch and his bride watched as the astronaut sat down, when two more figures suddenly came through the door.
Worry filled the air when everyone realized that these two guests was a lawyer walking in side by side with a jailbird. A large, heavy, iron ball was chained to one of the jailbird’s legs, slowing his progress down the aisle. The lawyer looked up to the couple and spoke.
“Marriage is a contract with many benefits and obstacles but beware, once you’ve signed, either respect the contract’s terms or you’ll be seeing me, charged for crime.”
“Brother” said Mr. Hunch, as the lawyer and the jailbird sat down “ Please tell me that these two were the last guests are to arrive?”
“There’s just one more” said the brother “ and he is divine.”
Silence gripped air as then Jesus entered the room. Everyone bowed in his presence, even the bride and groom.
“I await your arrival with open arms” spoke Jesus “ and bless any children you have in the future to be healthy, grow and learn. Trust each other. Be faithful and happy. From me, do not turn.”
When Jesus finished speaking, all the wedding crashers stood up from their seats, standing up side by side. Mr. Hunch looked at them all over, and then to his bride.
The priest looked at Mr. Hunch…
“Well” he said “ are you still going to say ‘I Do’?”
Mr. Hunch shouted as he sat up straight in his bed. It was only a dream!
“Wheeew!”
